NHS dental treatment in England is grouped into three charge bands, and you pay one charge per course of treatment — not per item.
Band 1 covers examination, diagnosis and preventive advice. Band 2 covers everything in Band 1 plus fillings, root canal work and extractions. Band 3 covers everything in Bands 1 and 2 plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
If you are unsure which band applies, ask us before treatment begins and we will confirm it in writing.
